The Pets
Animals are my life. I’ve always had a soft spot for them. As a young girl, I often opened my home to random critters — some included frogs, earthworms, birds, snakes, salamanders, and even a fly! So now that I live on my own, my door is open to all kinds of creatures.
(MORE PHOTOS COMING SOON!)
Ginger
This lovely girl is my 6 year old domestic short-haired cat. I love her to bits; she’s the “princess” of my apartment. She was given to me by a friend I worked with. Some of her hobbies include sleeping, harassing birds on the bird feeder, and jumping on people at random hours of the night.
Rose, Zoey & Sophie
These little ladies are my Chinese dwarf hamsters. I started out with one (Rose) whom I got myself for Valentine’s Day, then I adopted Zoey because Rose (of course) needed a friend. Sophie came along a few months later after she was found to have a tumor on her paw. The pet store couldn’t sell her, so I brought her home. Their hobbies include running on their wheel (I swear they could power a small factory!), chewing on random objects, and teasing Ginger.
Riddick
The friendliest reptile you’ll ever meet, Riddick is one of our newer additions. He’s a young albino leopard gecko. Some of his hobbies include munching on mealworms, chasing crickets, and hiding in his cave.
Oscar
I fell in love with Oscar the moment I saw him. He’s a beautiful dark blue beta. After struggling through the loss of two goldfish in a matter of weeks, I decided I wanted to try the whole “fish venture” again. Oscar’s been wonderful. His hobbies include swimming in his bowl, harassing Ginger, and eating.
